In 2026 I took part in Design a School of the Future, an industry challenge delivered by Balfour Beatty in partnership with The Open University Careers Service. Working alongside students from a range of academic backgrounds, the event explored how future schools can be designed to better support learning, wellbeing, sustainability, and changing educational needs.
Throughout the project I contributed to the team's research, idea development, and final presentation while gaining valuable insight into how infrastructure projects are approached from both educational and commercial perspectives. The experience strengthened my skills in collaboration, presentation, strategic thinking, and user-centred design.
